Dart Oil & Gas Corporation, founded in 1976, engages in the exploration, exploitation, acquisition, development, and production of crude oil and natural gas.

Dart Oil & Gas currently operates more than 450 wells (including four waterflood crude oil recovery units) which are located in Michigan, Kentucky, Virginia and Kansas, as well as two gas processing plants in Michigan. Dart Oil & Gas has also drilled over 350 wells in Michigan, Texas, the Mid-Continent, Gulf Coast, Appalachian, and Rocky Mountain regions.

Dart Oil & Gas opened a regional office in Kingsport, Tennessee, during the summer of 2001 to facilitate its Appalachian Basin exploration activity. Dart Oil & Gas has drilled several exploratory wells in the Appalachian Basin and plans additional exploratory and development drilling during 2004 and beyond.

Dart Oil & Gas is the manager and operator of the Dart Cherokee Basin Operating Company, LLC (DCBO) and Cherokee Basin Pipeline, LLC (CBPL). Over 300 coal bed methane (CBM) wells are planned to be drilled through 2006 in the Cherokee Basin of southeast Kansas.
